Save The Date

Being that our wedding is out of town, we wanted to send out Save the Dates so that everyone could begin booking their reservations at the resort. I wanted to do a magnet and when I stumbled upon MagnetStreet Weddings, I knew I would find exactly what I was looking for! The variety of templates from MagnetStreet are easy to browse by color, theme or type.
Some of my favorites include:

And then I found this one:
The colors were perfect and I could picture our engagement pictures fitting right in.
Lucky for me, it turns out they are incredibly easy to customize, too!

(You'll have to forgive my photography skills)

All of the Save The Date magnets include envelopes. (stamps not included)
We also chose to include an enclosure card with information for guests about making their reservations.

Engagement Pics

I love pictures.

Jordan is never surprised by how many times I stop strangers to take our picture. I just love capturing every memory of a night out with friends, a vacation, or a weekly trip to the grocery store (okay, not really, but you get the point). Needless to say, we have accumulated a LOT of pictures of the two of us over the last 8 years, but I cannot even tell you how many times his eyes are closed, my hair is all wrong or I have my mouth wide open trying to give the "photographer" directions on how to operate my camera (press the same big button on the top right where it has been since the beginning of time, but you'd be surprised...) So, when we booked our wedding photographer I could not WAIT to schedule our engagement session.

We met with Vanessa, from Studio 220, in St. Paul on what turned out to be the most beautiful fall day! We had so much fun and I LOVE the way the pictures turned out! She captured our relationship perfectly: loads of love, an abundance of happiness and lots of laughter!
Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Crunch Time

With the wedding a mere 4 months away, it is no surprise that I am on top of my workout routine these days.
Since my diet regularly consists of chips and salsa, bagels with cream cheese and chocolate... lots of chocolate, it is crucial that I make it to the gym.

It was over a year ago, now, that a friend introduced me to Corepower Yoga. At a time when I was really growing tired of the repitition of the elliptical, and reading magazines on the stationary bikes at the gym, Corepower was exactly what I needed. They offer a variety of yoga classes from beginner to advanced, heated classes.

My favorite class is yoga sculpt.  The class incorporates intermediate yoga with free weights and cardio for a total body workout in a heated room where temperatures are between 90 and 95 degrees with humidity.

And it is my secret weapon to fitting into that dress;)

Corepower offers the first week for FREE to newbies so you can try all of the classes and find one for you!

Baby It's Cold Outside

It is currently 3 degrees in Minneapolis, although it feels more like -11...

With that said, today, I invite you to stay inside with a cup of coffee and check out these amazing wedding videos by Capture Studios.

I am just obsessed with these guys! My girlfriends and I have watched "Gene + Jill" over and over and it still gets me everytime.

If you are even thinking about using a videographer for your big day, look no further!

My Wedding "Colors"

Long before the dress code that comes with being a hairstylist confined my closet to black, white, and grey, I lived in world of neutrals. Even as a child, I never had a favorite color. So, when we began planning, people kept asking, "What are your colors?" My colors? What a foreign concept.  After scouring the internet for pictures and inspiration, this is what I came up with:  a rustic scheme of black, white, cream, brown, tan and a very little bit of green;)
